I stumbled across this blog purely by accident. I was scanning Technorati a few weeks ago for similarly ranked blog to my own, and logged them in my notebook. Tonight, I read this post and cried like a little baby. I had to excuse myself from the living room, in fact, because I didn't want my wife and boys to see it. Your story touched me.

My oldest son Jalen will be taking a trip to Give Kids the World with the rest of the family in less than a month. Make A Wish has impressed me so much that I aim to donate to them from proceeds of my blog.

I won't take too much of your time, other than to say thank you, I'm very sorry for your loss, and I wish you and your family the very best.

This will be the most painful Mother's Day. You're "celebrating" it in a great way. Not only are you honoring Hannah's memory, but you'rw allowing Abby and Ethan to honor and celebrate their amazing mother!

In the coming years Mother's Day will be bittersweet. At least mine always are. Love you.

You are an amazing mother and even with this holiday approaching I can tell you that you should let yourself celebrate because you deserve it. The way you are ALWAYS there for your family that is what a mother does. You did everything you could for Hannah & continue to keep her memory alive & her death not to be vain. I know it's difficult I for one like to skip over this holiday being without my mother but I have learned over the years to celebrate her so I say celebrate & know Hannah will be there with you helping you make it through the day. *Hugs*

Spirits are truly real. I am sure Hannah is with you always. So good of you to "notice" the signs! Most people don't pay enough attention to see them. Those signs were meant to be, she is telling you something. I interpret that she is letting you know that she is okay. One night, she will come to you in your dreams and it will be so real, just try to remember it all because she will be visiting. My Grandmother used to feed the birds at her house and she always had a few cardinals. Those were her favorite. When I got older and got my first house, I too enjoyed feeding the birds. Every morning when I would go out to fill the bird feeder, there would be a cardinal in the tree singing like crazy and would immediately come to the birdfeeder as I walked away. I started noticing that this cardinal hung around MY house. I believe it was a sign from my Grandmother. Even if it wasn't, it brought me smiles and peace. Love you Carrie
