When I was cleaning out my mom’s house, I found the box she had kept of my brother’s things. (He died at about the same age as Hannah.) It was like opening a time capsule, but it gave me a little insight as to what he was like; reminded me that he was a real kid and not an abstraction. I know my mother treasured that box, for over 40 years. I hope this may give you as much comfort.

I am so glad to have participated in the blog hop today, because it let me to inspiring stories like yours and your daughter’s. It is children like Hannah who truly do inspire and motivate people to give their hearts to these causes. Thank you for sharing her story. Grieving is exactly what you need to let yourself do. Your hurt goes very, very deep and it is real. The quilt sounds like something very wonderful to have and to hold close. You will feel stronger another time, more like selecting those that you want to include. I am thankful for that lady who is willing to make it for you. It will be special just like you and like Hannah.
Somthing you will cherish.
