Hannah’s condition is continuing to deteriorate. We are working towards figuring out what is best for her at this point as well as what is the best way to help Ethan and Abby.
To my family and local friends, please don’t talk to Ethan and Abigail about it – right now, we want to let them keep as normal a life as possible until we know what our plan is.

Carrie, I struggle to find the words to tell you how sorry I am, and how I prayed that through some miracle this day would never come. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to meet sweet Hannah and hold her for a short time. The girls and I are praying for your sweet baby girl, your family, and your medical team. Carrie and family, I have lurked since Hannah was very sick in the hospital in Texas, checking the blog daily for updates, keeping her in prayer. She is so precious and so beautiful. You are always in my thoughts. You post brings back vivid memories of one of the worst parts of Victoria’s most recent fight. One of the things I struggled with the most was what to tell my other child and how to explain it to him in a way that was not terrifying but so that he could understand that his sister might be gone the next time he woke up. I would do anything to take your pain away. Please let us know if there is anything we can do!
